Want to understand the “whys and wherefores” of cooking while increasing your abilities planning, cooking, improvising, and evaluating individual dishes and meals?  While studying the hidden realities of foods, there will be a variety of cooking opportunities. They include preparing pies, yeast breads, vegetable and grain casseroles, soups, and protein foods. Along with learning about/practicing various cooking methods (like searing and stir frying), you will increase your knowledge about nutrition. Expectations: Plan, then prepare labs; write assessments; consult resources provided and maintain a food budget. All will help you move toward becoming  “culinary gifted” while exploring foods from the ground up!
